Our traveling ways have slowed down a bit this year. We are feeling the recession like so many others, so we've opted to stay close to home. Plus, it's summer and we usually don't do much during this time because it's too hot and families usually do their vacationing while the little ones are out of school. We prefer to avoid the crowds at popular tourist attractions and go during the off season. The only vacation we have on our travel itinerary is at the end of the month. We are heading to South Dakota for a family (Robert's side) reunion.
Robert's Uncle Richard has finished renovations of Alice's Restaurant (in Stockholm) and has turned it into a bed and breakfast. We will be staying in one of the rooms above the restaurant. I cannot tell you enough how good the food is at Alice's. If you are ever in the area, you must stop by. Hopefully Richard will have made one of his delicious pies.
On our honeymoon in December 2007, we stopped by Alice's Restaurant. Uncle Richard was kind enough to let us help make some pies for the next day. It was a highlight of our trip.
