Mountain Men

Robert and I had another great weekend. With our trip to Denver coming up at the end of the month, we wanted to stay close to home this weekend, but still had the need to get out of the house. The weather was absolutely beautiful so we decided to take a drive to the mountains for the Manzanita High Mountain Rendezvous in Santa Ysabel. I went last year with my photography club and took some really great pictures. This year Robert expressed interest so off we went.

The Manzanita High Mountain Rendezvous is a group of people with a love of history who created a living history with a pre-1840 North American Fur Trade Encampment. There were shooting demonstrations and a trader’s row selling items such as animal hides, purses, lanterns, and other goods. It was a good day and we met some very nice people.
